CPIA Announces Bi-Weekly Vault Calls

Later this month, the CPIA will launch bi-weekly virtual calls for leaders in the commercial painting industry, to be facilitated by association Co-Founder Aaron Moore.

Similar to the purpose of a real vault, where valuables are safely kept, The Vault Call will safely host a platform for discussions amongst professionals involved in the commercial painting industry.

“Each and every one of us in the CPIA has spent years upon years in this industry amassing a wealth of knowledge. Each time we learn something special we tuck it away in our brains for access later—No different than valuables stored in a vault at a bank,” said Moore.

“Collectively, the vault of information that lies within the membership of the CPIA is truly priceless and the goal of the call is for each of us individually to tap into the collective vault of our organization as a whole.”

Like the roundtable discussions Moore hosted at both the 2021 and 2022 CPIA Leadership Conferences, The Vault Call will be a virtual version where all members of the CPIA, regardless of their level of membership, are welcome to attend, reflect, share and learn together from the Association’s collective of doers. (Note: Each member company receives three representatives that are welcome to attend and key team members are also welcome to join.)

As described by Moore, attendees of these virtual calls will be taken through four primary sections. First, the session will begin with an introduction to the topic or issue, followed by individual and group reflections related to it.

From this point, the attendees will be placed into “breakout rooms” where they can discuss potential solutions and experiences with one another. In closing, each group shares what they have learned and how the collective can take this new information and lesson forward with them in their commercial painting career.

While Moore will facilitate the discussions—which will cover technical problems, business operations, and personal development, among other subjects—he has shared that the calls will also feature guest hosts throughout the year and that the CPIA will be accepting suggestions for topics or issues of discussion. To submit questions or ideas, please email the CPIA: vault@thecpia.com.

“The true gold is buried in the vaults of our members,” continued Moore. “This call will not be the webinar, a presentation, or some talking head telling you how to run your business. It is our greatest hope that The Vault Call will only promote and help you, your peers and those directly involved with the commercial coatings industry grow and prosper.”

The Vault Call will take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 4 PM EST. The first official meeting will take place this month, on Jan. 24.

The calls are expected to last roughly one hour and can be accessed here.

Note: Because these calls cannot be called into via phone, it is strongly advised that all participants download the GoTo app, here.

Leadership Development Peer Group Update

Officials from the CPIA have shared that there are several slots available in its second Leadership Development Peer Group. These peer groups provide professionals within the commercial painting industry a space for mentorship, shared resources, and the connections needed to support and develop themselves and their businesses.

Along with virtual meetings, the CPIA encourages in-person get-togethers and attendance at regional, national, and (eventually) global events!

For more information about the Leadership Peer Group and to sign up, please contact Executive Director Mike Stanley at mstanley@thecpia.com.
