With Slack, employees are able to create various channels to make it easier for teams to separate overlapping projects, expectations and deadlines. Because of its focus on messaging, employees can directly tag specific team members or groups to make sure notifications are being sent out correctly. Depending on the desired plan, Slack can start as a free service, charge $6.67/month, charge $12.50/month or have a changeable price depending on the specific plan.

Zoho Workplace essentially creates a shared desktop among employees, which allows them to share files and communicate on various projects more easily. Depending on the package, pricing ranges from $1 to $6/user/month.

Notion offers a heavier emphasis on planning with a platform that is conducive to communication and idea tracking. To make sure employees are staying on track with projects and are practicing open communication with each other, the site has personal weekly checklists, weekly planners and to-do lists. The site also provides a more personal aspect; team members can each adjust the site aesthetically and functionally to make sure it’s showing information in a way that most helps them. Pricing varies, with the Team package costing $8/user/month.

Asana puts a focus on organizing both large and small items. The site allows employees to easily organize, share, and store individual documents, as well as share big-picture plans for large-scale projects.
